老師好,我是學建築史的學生,看到文章標題眼睛就亮起來了。不確定我是否能夠消化理解,不過覺得海耶克的觀點很有趣。我從建築史出發去接觸社會學觀點,隱約感覺到殊途同歸的可能。從海耶克的觀點我主要聯想到的是Frederic Schwartz在 The Werkbund: Design Theory and Mass Culture before the First World War書中討論到1914年標準化生產模式和直觀個人主義的兩種美學觀點,兩個陣營的爭論,以及Georg Simmel等社會學者在其中扮演的角色等等。有趣的是年輕的Walter Gropius在當年是屬於直觀個人主義的陣營。等到1920年代的Bauhaus,他等於是刻意忽略這段爭論,或者說是把它重新包裝出售,但是「結合設計和工藝」的論述卻顯得過於輕易廉價。如此看來,您所提到的二次戰後「設計開始跟自由市場及企業競爭緊密結合,設計師成為創造銷售奇蹟產品的 專業推手」也就更為合理了。
